Elon Musk's Security Clearance Revoked This Year Betting Available at Kalshi
BetOnline this week began taking bets on all things US President Donald Trump vs. billionaire businessman Elon Musk following a public spat between the two men.
This betting market had attracted the most interest here at Gambling911.com in recent days.
Betting on the Trump-Musk feud had so far seen around a thousand impressions by early Friday morning while betting on Musk unfollowing Trump on X witnessed a few hundred views just a few hours after publishing those prop bets.
Trump has already called Musk “CRAZY” and suggested that he may target the Tesla CEO’s government contracts. Musk is also the CEO of SpaceX.
The prediction market Kalshi just released a betting market on whether Musk's security clearance will be revoked. Between 45% and 55% believe it will be. The action has been nominal, considering how popular the feud is among gamblers thus far. Kalshi is reporting just under $7000 in wagering volume heading into Sunday afternoon. Compare that with their French Open betting market, which has taken in close to $13 million in wagers thus far.
If Elon Musk loses his security clearance before Jan 1, 2026, then the market resolves to Yes. Kalshi includes the following sources from official White House press pool reports to determine the outcome.
The Source Agencies are the United States Department of Defense, U.S. Department of State, Department of Justice Office of the Pardon Attorney, United States Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Office of Personnel Management, relevant federal courts, , New York Times, the Associated Press, Bloomberg News, Reuters, Axios, Politico, Semafor, Energy Information Administration, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, ABC, CBS, CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, Central Intelligence Agency, Office of the Director of National Intelligence, Defense Counterintelligence, Security Agency, and congressional committees with oversight authority.
